Soldier Mountain is an alpine ski area in the Soldier Mountains of Sawtooth National Forest in south central Idaho. Solider Mountain is located just 12 miles north of Fairfield in very rural Camas County, with a summit elevation of 7,177 feet above sea level and a vertical drop of 1,425 feet. The area has two chairlifts in series on its east-facing slopes, and a magic carpet was installed in the fall of 2012 near the base.
