New Ski Lift at Arapahoe Basin in 2010-2011
Arapahoe Basin is nearing completion of its newest lift, a high-speed quad named the Black Mountain Express. The lift replaces the Exhibition lift at the base of the mountain. According to the Arapahoe Basin website, the new lift has a capacity of roughly 2,000 skiers per hour, a length of 2,877 feet and a vertical rise of 719 feet. The ride time will be just under three minutes; this is half the time it took the Exhibition lift.
